The Collie can trace its roots back to a tricolored puppy named Trefoil, which was born in 1873. Also believed to be designated as a "drover's dog" for driving the sheep to market. There could also be a trace of greyhound blood in it's line. The breed makes a superb companion and a mild, obedient very devoted family dog.
